چکیده

Abstract In this work, the compressive properties of sintered nano-silver applied to third generation semiconductor at room temperature are tested a loading rate 10 -2 s -1 . The stress-strain curve shows obvious elastic and plastic stage, with failure pore wall sintering neck, damage accumulates gradually until failure. microstructure is analyzed statistically by scanning electron microscope. A finite element model for porous structure developed matching microscope analysis. modulus neck obtained combining macro experimental data Ashby model. local process simulated numerically. It noted that path determined large spacing.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of pressureless sintered alumina-silver composites

The silver toughened alumina ceramics, which were fabricated via a conventional ceramic processing route using commercially available alumina and silver oxide powders as the starting materials, exhibit a higher fracture toughness (6 to 9 MPamo.5) than the monolithic alumina ceramic ( 2.5 to 3.0 MPamo.5). The weak interfacial bonding between the silver inclusions and the alumina matrix is charac...

Microstructure and Properties of Spark Plasma Sintered MoAlB Ceramics

Advisor: Bai Cui Molybdenum aluminum boride (MoAlB) is a ternary transition metal boride which has promising aeronautic and nuclear applications. It inheres excellent properties of the binary transitional metal borides (e.g., MoB, ZrB2) such as high melting temperature, high hardness, and thermal conductivity. Besides, MoAlB is superior to MoB because: (1) the Al element provides an oxidation r...

Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties Improvement in Liquid-Phase-Sintered Hydroxyapatite by Laser Sintering

CaO-Al₂O₃-SiO₂ (CAS) as a liquid phase was introduced into hydroxyapatite (HAp) to prepare bone scaffolds. The effects of the CAS content (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 wt%) on microstructure and mechanical properties of HAp ceramics were investigated. The optimal compression strength, fracture toughness and Vickers hardness reached 22.22 MPa, 1.68 MPa·m1/2 and 4.47 GPa when 3 wt% CAS was added, which were ...
